The Chawra family, the original guardians of this haveli, come from a lineage of warriors and leaders. Their forefathers, steadfast and honourable, served valourously during the difficult times of World War II. They were entrusted with the administration of the Kaladwas Village and thus became the torchbearers of Mewari traditions and values. History Of Fiefdom
The legacy of Kaladwas Lal Haveli is intimately connected to Maharana’s vision of strength in unity. To fortify against invading forces, he unified 36 Rajput clans and entrusted a fertile fiefdom near Udaipur to the Chawras of Varsoda.
